MSA House

This villa was intended to be built to size and our aim was to design an all-inclusive family house with a timeless design. The spatial layout here is pragmatic with a courtyard as central focus. Based on intricate research into the requirements of the family the final result is a story telling creation of sequences of space that take you from shared spaces such as front gardens, majlis etc to more private and intimate spaces. It is split into two blocks one focusing on formal spaces for hosting guest on the ground floor with the master suite on the floor above the second block incorporates privacy with family living and dining spaces on the ground floor and bedrooms above it. The two blocks are then connected through a bridge that hosts a private living space for the master suite. The mass of the villa has massive wood cladded niches that become balconies in order to give a carved monolithic appearance. The final result is a unique identity for the look and feel of this project that is born out of respect to the rich cultural values of the residents.
