IZ House
Residential Villa
The U-shaped plan of this house allows for a soft blend between private and family-shared spaces. The shape also protects the courtyard from harsh, direct sunlight, therefore encouraging the residents to enjoy the outdoors more often. The large foldable glass walls in the house (which are excellent for lighting the tasteful dark interiors and provide superb ventilation) allow the family spaces to be completely opened up to the backyard during pleasant weather.
The private spaces use clerestory-inspired, modern-influenced windows to cleverly address issues of privacy and natural lighting.
